Above and beyond

At North Coast Millworks Cabinet, we have a unique advantage over many cabinet companies: our sister company, North Coast Millworks Construction, also owned and operated by me, focuses on high‑end residential building. This dual perspective allows us to anticipate potential conflicts, understand the broader construction process, and develop creative solutions that bring a client’s design or vision to life.
I’ve learned over the years that perfection is an elusive goal—challenging, demanding, and never guaranteed. But striving for it through focus, determination, and a commitment to doing your absolute best is the foundation of how I approach every project I’m involved in. That mindset guides our work, from the smallest detail to the most complex build.

When your cabinet project starts at framing stage.

Although the look is clean and simple, this project required careful planning and execution. The cabinetry and doors involved detailed layout work, metal supports, hidden door tracks, and precise sequencing. Much of the cabinetry had to be installed before the drywall due to the finishing details, which added another layer of complexity to the process.

Wine rooms

This wine room was a fun project to take on. It began with a returning customer who wanted to transform a five‑by‑twelve‑foot room into dedicated wine storage. We designed a fully climate‑controlled space with a twelve‑hundred‑bottle capacity and dimmable backlighting integrated into every cabinet. The entire room was built from solid walnut, giving it both warmth, elegance and durability.

Beyond the ordinary

Sometimes we get approached with some pretty unique requests. This one started with a simple question: “Can you do it?” The answer—yes, we can.
This project required extensive planning and close coordination between the contractor and our cabinet team. Every radius had to be precise, and the workmanship had to be exact for the design to come together. The hidden supports were embedded into the framing and had to be placed with absolute accuracy for everything to function properly.
There wasn’t a single straight element in this project—every component was curved, which made the execution both challenging and rewarding.
